== Italicization does not work for news publications ==

{{t|Wikidata}} does not work appropriately for citing news sources, where the newspaper should be in {{para|work}} and should be italicized (unlike {{para|publisher}}, which is not; see {{t|cite news}} documentation and discussion over the years at [[WT:CS1]] for more). Currently, the template is only able to pull from {{wikidata property link|123}}, with no equivalent to work on Wikidata. As use of this scales up, it's crucial that we resolve this issue to make the two projects interoperable. :An example usage would probably help us understand. I don't think this template is intended to do what you want to do.
